The hands behind the garment deserve to be part of its story.
For as long as anyone can remember, this country’s hands have cut, stitched, and finished the clothes the world wears every day — and signed none of them. KariKuri exists to put a name to that skill: to treat the people who make clothing as the makers they are, not the labour behind someone else’s label. We are a small brand built on a large inheritance of craft, and we would rather honour it with credit than with slogans.

A slower rhythm
Good work
takes its time.
Before it is a hoodie, it is a hand that knows weight, drape, and seam — skill passed down the same way a jamdani motif is, loom to loom, memory to memory. The makers’ movement asks for something simple, and we build around it: dignity, not rescue. “We need these jobs, but we want them with dignity.” That is the principle KariKuri is made to honour.
Honest context
Visibility begins with credit.
The hands that dress the world have mostly worked unseen — and that invisibility has had a cost, one the world noticed too late. We can’t undo that. We can refuse to repeat it, and we can make the people behind the clothes visible.
